A List of Snowclones

Ever since I ran across LanguageLog, the blog devoted to language issues, I have been completely enamored with the idea of snowclones.

I have made an attempt to start a list of snowclones on Wikipedia, with this article, for purely selfish reasons. When you google for "list of snowclones" or something similar, nothing comes up but dozens of fractured blog postings about snowclones. Each post might have one or two new ones, but there's no central place to find a list.

Wikipedia provides the ideal location to establish and manage such a list, so there you have it.

Go add your own snowclones.

I like it.

BTW, in news totally unrelated to this post, the monkeyworm said something that REALLY sounded like "gokmop" yesterday and today, not in relation to you, but i have a feeling it could be encouraged. So you may have a new uncle name.
